Moving Tips
Find below some advice to help in your moving journey!
BOXES
Uniform boxes enable your movers to carry more volume at once, therefore making the move quicker.
PACKING HEAVY ITEMS
It is important to use adequate size boxes when packing heavy items such as books or records.
LABELLING
Knowing what goes where is an important part of the move and saves a lot of time, especially during the unload. You can also label furniture using “frog tape” or Post-its which will be applied on our moving pads after prepping your furniture.
CHILDREN & FURRY FRIENDS
On moving day, it is often better to have someone looking after our loved ones as things move quickly. Safety first!
PURGE
We can make multiple stops on moving day to dispose of your donations of junk items. A clean and organized home makes for faster and more efficient moves.
APARTMENTS & CONDOS
Good coordination with both strata and/or building managers for elevator bookings and parking arrangements makes your relocation smoother and assures there won’t be any wait time between the pickup spot and the unload.
SPECIAL ITEMS
Make sure you discuss special items such as pianos, arcade machines, Murphy beds, gyms, etc, with your movers so special measures can be taken if needed.
PLANTS
We do move plants! However, we would prefer them to not be watered for a few days prior to moving day. Also, smaller plants are fragile and it would be best if you moved them by yourself.
